But I’m all about green technology so I convinced the powers that be to save some trees and instead I created an animated invite using the Flash cs3 program.
I decided to write this post after I read a comment on the discussion board over at Blogcatalog. A gentleman was on the general discussion board seeking advice from random people about what they thought about the work his web-designer did on a recent site. Some members on the forum praised the site but their were others that were saying he over paid and they could have done the job cheaper etc. The client him self began to point out flaws in the work. At this point even though I had no involvement in the site’s creation , I felt the need to respond. Below are my exact words from the forum verbatim. (more…)

Having a clear understanding of what a client needs is a great place to start. You can accomplish this by doing a little research on a potential client prior to your first meeting. I usually check the web to see if their is any info available. Most clients will be appreciative of the (more…)

All of the pieces that I saw had a vision behind it. When I see a past client making positive moves and going places I feel connected to their success. I came across this video interview with one of the founders ismael on youtube. Check out
the video and then go to their site and get one of their amazing t-shirts really cool stuff. This was one of my more memorable sites.

Recently on a trip to Florida to visit my parents I was talking with my brother and his girlfriend about how hard it is to meet professionals in this day and age. Their are plenty of networking parties in NYC ,but unfortunately due to inexperienced promoters and a band of other reasons these events fail for various reasons. Such as the music being too loud and people that attend events with no intention of networking etc.

My group “NYC Speed Networking” is a great way to meet professionals in various fields in a cool relaxed environment.
Members of the group will meet at various locations in New York city ,and will have 8 minutes to talk with each member and exchange business cards and contact information. This will ensure that every member will have an opportunity to meet every one from the event. Every body that attends the event will need to have a business card.

I’m currently in the process of building the group so that I can start holding events.
If you live in the New York area and you are interested in joining my group click one of the links below.

These days I can’t seem to open my email inbox with out seeing a forwarded message . ( I would say on average I get about 3-5 a week) the topics range from computer viruse warnings to contests, jokes and political news. Not that some of them are not amusing funny or up lifting but I would love to get more real emails from my friends, instead of forwarded messages written by other people.

( i’m not knocking any one for sending them but to me it’s like getting a card from a close friend with their signature and the generic message from the card author.

After a recent discussion on blogcatalog.com http://www.blogcatalog.com/discuss/entry/why-do-people-send-forwards

I decided to let all of my friends know that I don’t really like forwards and would prefer personal emails. Wish me luck

Any one have any thoughts on why it seems people are sending more and more emails like this?
