My name is Glen Graham and I’m a full time New York Web-designer working from home or where ever I can bring my laptop.
HOW I GOT STARTED
I had a friend who was a web-designer and he worked at a small design firm in downtown Manhattan. One day we were hanging out at my parent’s home in the Bronx when his boss called him and needed him to come in to work.
He explained to his boss that he was in the Bronx and that all of the trains were running slow, and it would take him close to two hours to get to work.
His boss told him to get in a cab and he would pay for it, he also paid my friend double time and bought him lunch.
I knew right then that web-design was the right job for me. Any job that your missed when you don’t show up is a job worth having!
WHAT IS THE GNR GROUP?
Originally The GNR Group was an event planning company that a friend and I started in 2002. We use to organize private events, artist showcases, fund raisers etc.
When we split up due to creative differences I kept The GNR Group name. I continued to do events for a few more years then decided to refocus, and I turned The GNR Group into a web-design network.
MY WORK?
I spend about 15 hours a day on the computer perfecting my craft. My skills include web design, building anything Flash related, logo creation , blogs(WordPress), ecommerce sites ,illustrations and photoshop.
What else do you want I’m not superman.
WHY I STARTED BLOGGING?
I started blogging because it is a great way to keep the content on my website fresh and updated. I also get to share my knowledge of what I have experienced in my web travels with my sites visitors, potential clients and new designers.
